Kjaraviðræður samninganefndar Félags háskólakennara og samninganefndar ríkisins (SNR) hafa verið í fullum gangi eftir sumarfrí. Samhliða þeim viðræðum hefur félagið einnig átt í viðræðum við HÍ um stofnanasamninga.
Samninganefnd ríkisins hefur lagt ríka áherslu á að ekki verði samið umfram hið svokallaða ”merki” sem samið var um á almenna markaðinum fyrr á árinu. Háskólafélögin þrjú, Félag háskólakennara, Félag háskólakennara á Akureyri og Félag prófessora við ríkisháskóla, sem hafa myndað sameiginlega samninganefnd í viðræðunum, hafa lagt fram sameiginlegar áherslur. Áherslumál félaganna snúa að frekari réttindum fyrir félagsfólk, annars vegar í kjarasamningum og hins vegar í bókunum í stofnanasamningum.
Viðræður halda áfram og eru á viðkæmu stigi eins og staðan er í dag. Félögin leggja þunga áherslu á að gildistími samningsins verði frá þeim tíma er fyrra samningstímabili lauk eða 1. apríl 2024.

Wage negotiations between the negotiation committee of the Association of University Teachers and the Government's Negotiating Committee (SNR) have been in full swing after the summer holidays. Along with those talks, the union has also been in talks with HÍ about institutional agreements.
The state's contract committee has placed great emphasis on not negotiating beyond the so-called "mark" that was agreed on in the general market earlier in the year. The three university associations, the Association of University Teachers, the Association of University Teachers in Akureyri and the Association of Professors at State Universities, which have formed a joint negotiating committee in the negotiations, have presented common priorities. The focus of the unions is on further rights for members, on the one hand in collective agreements and on the other hand in institutional agreements.
Negotiations continue and are at an appropriate level as of today. The unions strongly emphasize that the validity period of the contract will be from the time the previous contract period ended, or April 1, 2024.
